How Mukunda Technologies handles personal information on this website, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

2. What this website collects

This is a corporate information website. It has no user accounts, no contact form, no analytics and no advertising or tracking cookies.

  • Emails you send us. If you email info@mukundatech.co.za, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, your organisation if you give it, and whatever you choose to write.
  • Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider automatically records technical information when a page is requested, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We do not use this to identify you.

Please do not send us sensitive personal information (such as ID numbers, health or financial details) in an enquiry email.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To read and respond to your enquiry, and to take steps at your request before a contract is concluded.
  • To keep a record of our business communications, which is in our legitimate interest as a business.
  • To keep the website secure and working (legitimate interest), and to meet legal obligations where they apply.

We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for direct marketing without your consent.

4. Who we share it with

We use service providers (“operators”) to run the website and our email. They process information only on our instructions and must keep it secure:

  • our website hosting provider (currently Vercel Inc.);
  • our email provider (GoDaddy / Titan Email).

We may disclose information if the law requires it.

5. Sending information outside South Africa

Our hosting and email providers may store or process information on servers outside South Africa. Where that happens, we rely on providers that are bound by data-protection obligations comparable to POPIA, in line with section 72 of POPIA.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting relationship, and then for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. Hosting logs are kept by our hosting provider for the period set out in its policy.

7. How we protect it

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) to this website and access-controlled email accounts.

8. Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask us to:

  • confirm whether we hold personal information about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct or delete personal information that is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive or unlawfully held;
  • stop using your personal information, where you object on reasonable grounds.

To make a request, email info@mukundatech.co.za with the subject “Privacy request”. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we aim to respond within 30 days.

If you believe we have not handled your personal information properly, please contact us first so that we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa):

10. Cookies, fonts and other websites

This website does not set cookies and does not load fonts or scripts from third parties. Links to other websites (for example caterflow.co.za) lead to sites with their own privacy notices; this notice covers only mukundatech.co.za. Our products have their own privacy notices.

11. Children

This website is aimed at businesses and organisations, not at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
